Dayshift, Monday-Friday
Guaranteed Hourly Wage Position - No More Flat Rate! $25-40/hour, negotiable based on experience
Responsibilities
- Provide technical service to equipment.
- Read work orders, observe and listen to equipment in operation to determine malfunction and plan work procedures.
- Follow checklists to ensure that all critical parts are examined.
- Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and adjust as needed.
- Tag all warranty parts and returns to warranty clerk
- Attend training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer satisfaction
- Produce quality work that evidence pride of workmanship.
- Maintain your assigned workspace in an organized and clean manner.
- Make every effort to achieve the production objectives set by management.
- Adhere to manufacturer’s policy and procedures as they relate to labor operations, time and repair order documentation when performing warranty repairs and torque specifications.
- Any other duties as outlined by the Service Supervisor and or management of the company.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 2-year technical school graduate a plus but not required.
- 1-2 years fleet or dealership experience in a diesel shop a plus but not required.
- Must be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer and service team
- Must be self-motivated and conduct oneself in a professional manner
- Must have an inventory of hand tools to facilitate the assigned repairs
- Heavy equipment and or agricultural experience is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen.
Physical Requirements
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate construction equipment.
- Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 50-100 pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 20-50 pounds and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 10-20 pounds
- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull and lift objects. Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance, kneel, stoop, crouch, and crawl
- Consistently exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes, and loud noise.
