Parts Counter Specialist

Location: Springfield, MO

Bobcat of Springfield is a full service Bobcat Dealership specializing in new, used, and rental compact excavators, skid steer loaders, and track loaders. We offer parts as well as both mobile and shop service.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in determination of parts & supplies requirements with customers, selling parts & supplies and providing order processing services.

  • Maintain a clean in-store display and merchandise sales area

  • Present merchandise to customers with professional selling techniques.

  • Serve & assist customers and service department in a very professional manner, keeping their needs in mind while also operating with the company’s best interests in mind.

  • Occasionally assist customers in loading & unloading parts & supplies.

  • Operate as a facilitator for customers in finding what they want.

  • Maintains excellent customer relations at all times.

  • Responsible for all shipping and receiving of parts & supplies. All orders should be binned promptly and accurately and be kept clean and orderly.

  • Assist in completion of weekly inventory counts.

  • Optimize freight charges and emergency/rush order charges, while giving good customer support.

  • Contact existing and potential customers for the purpose of marketing parts & supplies.

  • Help resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints.

  • Operate within all parts & supplies policies and procedures of the company.

  • Enforce all policies and procedures as specified in the company manuals.

  • Always operate in and maintain a safe work environment; obey safety rules and wear required safety PPE.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Positive outlook and excellent communication

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Excel in a high volume fast paced environment

  • Creative problem solver

  • Excellent customer relations skills

  • Good computer and systems knowledge

  • Working knowledge of sales techniques and methodologies

  • Experience with construction or ag equipment preferred

  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical

  • Valid driver's license in good standing is preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate construction equipment.

  • Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 50-100 pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 20-50 pounds and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 10-20 pounds

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull and lift objects. Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance, kneel, stoop, couch, and crawl

  • Consistently exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes, and loud noise.
